Expand your menopause care with Gennev's board-certified physicians and coaches, all from the comfort of home.
Gennev takes a multi-disciplinary approach to menopause care. If you've gone to your doctor and feel like they didn't address the root of what's happening in your mind and body, you're not alone.
Few doctors are trained in menopause care. As a result, women end up with multiple medications that are a band aid to what's really happening.
Treating the whole person is the only way to improve a woman's quality of life. That's why our integrated menopause care model is proven to work.
Appointments with our doctors and health coaches are reimbursable through most insurance plans. When your visit is complete, our Care team can generate a superbill to file for insurance reimbursement.
Yes! You can use your FSA/HSA funds for Gennev products and services. To do this, you will want to reach out to support@gennev.com and request a detailed, itemized receipt. Our team is happy to provide you with the documentation requested by your FSA/HSA management company. Some FSA/HSA debit cards may be accepted at the time of purchase.
Please be aware that different benefits administrators have different levels of requirements in terms of documentation. If you are unsure, we recommend scheduling a telemedicine appointment with one of our doctors and requesting a letter of medical necessity for whichever products and services are applicable for you. The letter can also cover the cost of the telemedicine appointment.
All of our telemedicine doctors are Board-Certified Gynecologists who have experience treating menopause symptoms and can offer prescription support if needed. Our health coaches are Registered Dietitians with training in behavior-change science to help you naturally manage anxiety, mood changes, brain fog, sleep problems, weight change, and fatigue associated with menopause.
Our integrated care model recommends that you initially meet with a doctor for a full diagnosis, medical guidance and prescription support. From there, we recommend monthly meetings with your health coach for a minimum of 3 months. At that time, your health coach and you will determine if continued care is needed, and when you should check in with the doctor and/or health coach for follow-ups and refills.
A quiet space, a computer with good audio and video capability, any medications you have questions about on hand, and a list of questions. You will be prompted to fill out your medical history ahead of time so that the doctor can review it and be ready for the appointment. Our platform is HIPAA-compliant to ensure your security.
We offer evidence-based treatments for addressing your symptoms, including prescription medication, lifestyle & diet changes, supplements and vitamins, and more. We believe in an Integrated Care Model, which is a team approach between you, a doctor, and a health coach. After you share your symptoms and experience with menopause, your provider will start to create a custom treatment plan for your symptoms.
In general, we are very comfortable with hormone replacement therapy and prescribe it frequently. The decision to use hormones is made in conversation with the patient and takes into account their unique needs, risks and benefits. We are also happy to go over and prescribe other medications as well as lifestyle and alternative remedies that are available and discuss the data and success rates of these therapies.
